2012 Call for Community Action Project Proposals

Leadership West Yellowhead’s Community Action Projects (CAPs) provide our participants with a unique opportunity to work in teams on a real project.

Does your organization have a project that could benefit in 2012 (between June and October) from the efforts of a team of motivated leadership learners applying their skills and knowledge towards it?

Is your organization able to adequately support a team of enthusiastic volunteers so that they can achieve the project objectives that you agree on?

Project sponsors from past years cite a number of benefits to the experience of sponsoring a CAP, including:

• CAP teams bring new ideas and an outside perspective to the project
• Project sponsors are energized and reinvigorated from the contact with a new group of volunteers
• Team members often become passionate advocates for the sponsoring organization and/or issue
