Leadership West Yellowhead aims to develop leadership skills and community awareness in emerging and existing leaders in the West Yellowhead region. This experiential learning journey consists of a 2-day Opening Retreat in April 2010, six Learning Days scheduled monthly between April and September, and a 2-day Closing Retreat in October 2010. Members of the Class of 2010 will work in groups to complete a Community Action Project as part of the program, and will be matched with a mentor. The program is open to residents of six municipalities: Edson, Grande Cache, Hinton, Jasper, Woodlands County, and Yellowhead County.
